2026 Talking Mats

We’re excited about some Talking Mats activities coming up at Talking Trouble.

On the 26 February 2026 we are hosting a webinar for all the people in Aoteraoa who have completed a Talking Mats Foundation training course. All those people should have already received an email about this but some emails bounced, so if you are someone who has done your Talking Mats Foundation course, get in touch to register as you can attend and hear about how people have been using Talking Mats across the very varied range of settings you all work in - from kindergartens, community, schools to hospitals and prisons. (Please see the flyer below and feel free to share with others who have completed the Foundation course)

Then, we have both online and in-person Foundation Training scheduled - so far we have organised an Auckland in person course on the 19 March 2026 and the three 2 hour session online course that starts on 17 February, but we can easily schedule more as long as we have enough registrations to run it. We need a minimum of 8. If you have people in your area and want a course, just let us know. We are also doing some specific courses for organisations in the next few months, so if you wanted to talk to us about how that can work, get in touch.

Lastly, there are some Advanced Talking Mats courses which we are now able to run. If you want to attend one of those, please let us know and we will schedule it. Please see the flyer below for more detail.
